Always deliver

We’d like to take some time to introduce you to some of the Wannabee Women. Pretty Lady
This is certainly not a completed page, as it is a constantly changing page. Life has a way of coming full circle: some of the ladies are no longer with us and some of them are just beginning their adventures into motherhood. Every one of the girls that are listed below have or will have made a huge contribution to our success. Without them – none of this would have been possible!. When you have been in this a while, as we have, you begin to see the similarities in personalities or brief flashbacks to earlier days. It is actually very much like the human world, where the grandparents keep calling the grandchildren by their parents or other ancestors names! A serious linebreeding program will do that to you. As we always say, “with him as a sire, and her as a dam – how can I help but be what I am”. We have never been at the top of the popularity contest, but we certainly consider ourselves at the top of our game. The dogs have always been the center of our focal point and not the people. People will come and go in our lives, but the pedigrees will always remain the same: “We are exactly what we Wannabee!”

I really don’t know where to begin when it comes to talking about Sissy. She had it all! I will never forget her Group One under Keke Kahn. Sissy actually walked into the toy group at the head of the lineup and never once held anyone back. She was on a mission to prove to the people watching that day that a MinPin can move with hackney like gait and tremendous rear drive. Sissy was always in total control and never let you forget it!
She truly should have been a Hall of Fame dam. When you sell show dogs to other people, their show careers are out of your control. We learn by our mistakes! My biggest regret is the fact that Sissy was never allowed to achieve this honor.

In every breeders lifetime, that very special dog comes along. Widgee Woman was both Pedigree and MPCA Dam of the Year in 2003. She is a BISS and Top 10 Producer. She earned the title of
Honor Roll Dam and was one champion short of Hall of Fame when she developed cysts on her uterus and had to be spayed.

We started showing Cruella and noticed she wasn't winning like we thought she could and people were mentioning that she was throwing her left front foot in a funny way. I checked her medical records to see if something had happened as a puppy and lo' and behold: I forgot that the poor girl had broken her front foot!
Not only did she break the long bone in her front foot, she also managed to chew off the first cast and had to have a new cast reapplied! As a result of this, we decided to retire her from the show ring and keep her for our breeding program. If you view her photo and her pedigree, I think you'll understand why we added her to our breeding program: such a beautiful girl!!!
